Down Low Glow Customer Testimonials.
Check out some of the emails we've received from real customers all over the country, (and a couple across the ocean too.)
It gives me so much more confidence when I'm riding at night. I just feel like everyone can see me, including walkers who I can't even see. It just makes me feel so much better.
Thanks, Geddis Byerley, Tucson, AZ.

Hi Paul,
Nobody knows what to make of us when they see us on the road, but they sure do give us our space. We mounted the DLG on our Gold Rush Recumbents, along with rear-facing strobe lights and $400 Night Rider HID systems. The effect is awesome. Thanks, Tim.
Hi Paul, My husband easily got the DLG I ordered mounted on his bike. He
has been riding to work for the past five years and I want him to ride down
the road lit up like a Christmas tree so everyone will see him. Now he will
travel white head light, blue glow, flashing red tail lights looking
patriotic. I know he likes it but he can always tell people it makes his
wife feel better. I'll send you a picture. All three kids now want one
for their bikes since we ride to school early somedays at 6:45. Do you
ever give family discounts? I love the glow and the side lighting it
provides, it looks great! It truely is safety made fun.
Thanks, Julie from Arizona.

"Here's Connie with the Down Low Glow at the latest "Recumbent
Retreat" in Oregon last month. There's a lighting contest every year and
then a night-time light parade through the entire campground. It's getting
bigger and bigger every year and the campground now expects the show (the
first year we got in a LOT of trouble by the 'warden' (I mean camp-host) for
having a boom-box playing as we rode through the park. Whatever...)
Anyway, these lights are SOOOOO very cool. I'm so glad we met you at your
booth @ Interbike and were able to get a couple of these. Everyone thinks
they are the coolest!"
Laurie and Connie from Easy Rider Recumbent Club, in Oregon.
Paul:
My DLG arrived on Monday intact. It works great, I can't stop smiling
when it's on. I found myself thinking, 'How can I take a longer route
to where I'm going?' Since 'torrential downpour' is just one one of
many probable weather states for the next 5 minutes here in Baltimore,
I bagged the battery and power driver each then wrapped the whole
shebang in self-stick plastic wrap. The tube mounting system is great,
obviously a lot of thought and refinement went into it.
Eric Gauthier, Baltimore, MD. August, 2005
Paul,
Remember me? This is Bob Farr from Austin, TX here. You sent me a DLG maybe
a couple years ago after we met at Interbike. I wrote you glowing review in
Cycling News and I think I'll be doing a follow-up next month, just because
it'll be so easy to rave about.
I've had great joy showboating my Xtracycle with the Down Low Glow --
usually with my honey onboard serving as ballast. It always turns heads and
gets the kiddies almost as excited as the grownups. "Where'd you get the
cool lights, man," they ask?
I tell them, "The Fossil Fool -- Google it!"
It's been to two Austin City Limits Festivals (every day too) A couple
nights at the South by South West Festival (SXSW) out on 6th Street, 3
Jingle Bell rides, a couple of camping trips, and countless evening joyrides
in the city just for grins. It's never been off the bike. It gets used
constantly. The battery holds a charge for weeks if I'm not riding. I love
it more every day and it still works perfectly. Thanks for making it
possible.

THANX FOR THE NEONS THEY'RE EXCELLENT.
SOON IM GETTIN 144 SPOKE fan WHEEL RIMS ILL KEEP YA UPDATED.
Mitchell Brinker, South Carolina.
Kit works perfectly, riding with it make my Brompton folder become a smiling machine for passers by, even motorists stop or slow and waive to me -- pure fun. Is there many other DLG customers in France ?
Guess I will soon order a second kit for friends.
Thank you,
Denis Caraire, France
Just got my DLG in today. Charged it, hooked it up to my 24" bmx cruiser and
rode 10 miles at 11pm. Simply put, I was more visable to traffic at 11pm
than I am at 11am. These lights rock!
Josh Curd, Walled, Michigan. Spring 2004.

My neigbour and I love our DLG and with our friend, we have
the full colour range. Even on the first time out, cars were hooting at
us. Thanks again.

Adam Catling, from the UK

"Hey Paul, the Plush DLG looks sweet on my stretch Dyno, thanks." John from New Jersey.
"Hey Paul, They're awesome on the snow!!
Cars slow down a block before they get to me! They must think I'm a "UFO" !!!
I ride to work almost every day from -2 degrees to about 15 degrees in the morning.
"DLG" & Nokian studded snow tires ROCK! The extra waterproofing is doing the job nicely.
Thank you again for a great product and great service. Over the bars..... Rolf.
P.S.
Sorry No photos yet, it's too cold at 5AM!!!!"
-- Rolf Hebenstreit, master-class mountain bike racer, all-season commuter.

"These are shots of my Trikke 12 roadster with the blue D L G. i love these lights -- they are awesome!! I'm going to have to order the red ones also. They glow very brightly! No picture can do these lights justice -- they are way better than they look in the pictures. i will recommend your product to everyone. I even put a link to your site from my website. keep up the great job!!!!!"
-- Dan, Prineville, OR
"I used the DLG last night for the first time. This thing rocks!
Drivers look at you with strange expressions on their faces-it's such an uncommon light that I don't think they know what it is-but they seem to keep their distance, which is my main concern.
No sooner did I turn it on did I have someone stop me asking where they could buy it and how much it costs. And it's so lightweight too. This thing sure does make night rides fun...
I am still amazed at how it can shine a wall of blue light all the way across the street.
I just ordered a second mounting kit for a bike I have in the bay area. I'm going to be up there riding next weekend.
And I might pick up a fast charger at some point... Good luck with your company and fossilfool.com. You've got some great products and a good cause too."
-- John Silva, rock musician, Los Angeles, CA.

"I got my metal-studded tires today, so I fired up the DLG and took the
Street Machine out in about four inches of snow. The tires--and the
DLG--did the job." Ian --Upstate New York.

The neon chair -- Ben from the UK. Click to see video of Ben cruising at night.
"The lights arrived a couple of weeks ago and I got them set up straight
away.... This pic seemed to be proper dramatic enough
show you how sweet the tubes look in the dark... they could have been made
for a chair!
Thanks for all your help and making the DLG available. The small tubes and
battery keep the chair ultra-light so I don't even know it's
there--that's a definite must when every lb of weight has to be taken into
consideration.
I've got a new wheelchair coming in February, and keeping the lights very
much in mind, I've ordered the frame to be polished titanium... that's going
to show the lights off brilliantly!
Anyway, cheers and good luck with the DLG in the future. Keep up the good
work, and don't be suprised if I order more tubes in the other colours
sometime soon ;)"
-- Ben from the UK.
"My wife got a chance to use it on her way home from work and
she absolutely loves it. She felt like she finally got some respect
while on the road, even having one car come to a complete stop when it
saw her.
It seems to have inspired her back on her bike again, especially for
night riding!!!"
-- Si from Alabama.
"I'm stoked to be supporting a local (relatively) hand made business.
I hope in some way it contributes to less globalization and mass production.
Okay, the soap guy just asked for his box back..."
-- Ron from Eugene, OR.
James Steven's Electra Rat Fink with a dual tube Envy DLG system. Nice shot, James!
"The lights look brilliant when cruisin along, i've had so many people pull me over to ask me about them and they all say they're kool. i recommended you to people i spoke to so you might have some more business your way from the uk."
-- James Stevens, from Hampshire in the UK
"I have your lights on our tandem
and they look great!
The front tubes shine on the fender, the others
shine down from the bottom frame tubes.
But behind Rande I need a
single light to run up his seat tube so it can reflect off our back
fender.
Rande still wants a good sound system for our bike too. I'd
like to order a single tube kit...
I'll be happy to do bussiness with
you again!"
-- Matt Glass, LA customer, purchased two sets of the DLG at the LA
Bike Show.
" This is a very cool product. At night on dark country roads, cars give me a wider berth
than they do in daylight --they can see me, but they don't know what I am,
so they play it very safe. My first night out, a neighbor kid followed me
into my yard at the end of the ride because he just had to know
where I got them. "
-- Ian from Upstate NY.
"That's pennies for an incredibly kool way of adding eye candy to moonlight cruises."
-- Jim Wilson, editor, Bike Rod N Kustom
"Just made my first night ride with the
ice Down Low Glow light I bought from you at the bike show.
It is really cool and I am thinking about putting one on my other
bike.
Thanks for sending the owners manual.
The details were very desriptive along with the photos.
A lot of products that I have bought from other companies seem to leave out these important details"
-- Mikey, San Bruno,
CA. Purchased lights at the SF Veloswap.
"The quality of
the construction and materials was higher than I expected...."
-- Bob Farr, Southwest Cycling News
"We put one on a 20" chrome lowrider in
our shop window. We leave it on for a couple hours after we close
and get lots of people slowing down when they drive by. It looks f#@%ing
incredible at night."
-- Luis, Point Pleasant Bicycle, Point Pleasant, NJ
"I love my DLG!" -- Aaron of Aaron's
Bike Repair, Seattle
"It throws down a nice cloud of neon under
my bike. I don't really need a headlight when I'm riding through the
city. The DLG is bright enough as long as there's some street light."
-- Chris of Adventure's Edge Bike shop, Arcata California.
"Everywhere I go, people ooh and aah... It has carried me back, magic carpetlike, into the life of the bike."
-- Carrie Bradley, San Francisco customer.
