Music Man Mike and His Disco Bike

Music Man Mike was a staple of the Boulder, Colorado Moonlight Cruiser Rides. He now lives in the Bay Area and is planning some bombastic street parties in '04 with Fossil Fool. Be on the list to receive an invite.

His 400-watt sound system uses a Yakima Trailer for its carrying capacity, and boy, does he need it.

A 33 Amp-Hour battery powers:
- a 400 Watt Sound system (4-channels with subwoofer)
- 500 Watt Power inverter
- 20GB iPod

Two 8 Amp-Hour gel-cell batteries power:
- 150 Watt power inverter
- dual disco lights
- laser pattern generator
- 8" mirror ball with 3rpm motor

Plus he requires about 2 dozen AA batteries for the EL wire around the frame, spokes, and trailer, Christmas lights on trailer and the flag pole Hokey Spokes on the front wheel. Any more lighting and you could land a plane.

The Boulder Cruiser rides draw a regular crowd of hundreds of riders on summer nights. Check out the classic cruisers that coalesced for their Denver outing.
