For 2016, the mason Pro continues its adventurous ways. Always at the top of the list for fun big-wheeled hardtails, it’s taking another step forward with the addition of 27.5 plus wheels with boost hub spacing. Designed to increase wheel stiffness and add unbelievable amounts of traction, these two technologies are in line with the spirit of our premier all-mountain big wheeler. The existing platform was ready for this new Direction, keeping its short rear end and relaxed head angle. The bike keeps its formed/butted aluminum tubes and slack geometry, but gains even more confidence with a 130mm FOX 34 float fork and those high volume wide tires grabbing traction on every conceivable surface. The component build is top notch, too, with a Shimano XT 2×11 drivetrain, big hydraulic brakes (180/180mm), and a KS dropper post standard. For riders who want to take their mountain biking further, the mason Pro is the all-mountain hardtail.
