The Fossil Fool street team leads a ride in Miami Beach in May 2005.

Organized by the Fossil Fool street team, the San Francisco Cruiser Ride is a social ride that's all about cruising, music, hanging out with friends on the weekend, meeting new people, and getting out on the streets.

We stop and have impromptu dance parties and street performing. The guy in the camouflage jacket above was watching Fossil Fool perform bike raps on a sidewalk in North Beach. He said he had something to say on the microphone, and he took the moment to the next level with his soulful singing.

The Embarcadero is a common route for the SF Cruiser Ride. The long stretches of concrete make great, relaxed cruising. It's San Francisco's version of the Venice Beach Boardwalk!

Our Soul Cycle party bikes fill the street with funk, soul, and electronic grooves. Above, Thao demonstrates proper riding footwear.

People sometimes can't believe their eyes and ears when they see us come through. The guy with the headband above is calling his friend to say "listen to their music!"

Music Man Mike:

Music Man Mike is one member of our regular cruising crew. He was a mainstay of the Boulder Cruiser Ride, before moving the Bay Area. Nice party lighting, Mike! e

Rockstar Volunteer / Barter Opportunity: The San Francisco Cruiser Ride is looking for an internet genius to help us create a online community for our rides. We want to create a place where people can post pictures, plan rides, and exchange emails without getting SPAMmed, etc.. If you want to help us make this happen, please contact.

See you at the next ride! -- Fossil Fool
